Netflix will now allow its users to choose the endings for shows like “Black Mirror”

Netflix will soon allow its users to choose the endings for movies or TV shows such as “Black Mirror.”

According to Bloomberg News, Netflix is creating TV specials where users can choose the ending of the storyline. Netflix already released the interactive program with an animated kids show called “Puss in Book.” In that show, kids choose between two options to conclude the storyline, and that is with the cat either fighting a god or a tree. That way, kids can always go back to rewatch their favourite episodes but with a fresh ending.

The upcoming interactive show is said to be released by the end of 2018 with Netflix’s Emmy-winning sci-fi show, “Black Mirror.”

“Black Mirror” is popular for exploring the social implications of technology. The fifth season of the show will be released in December.

Netflix’s interactive TV, or “choose your own adventure” concept could complicate the production, as well as dealmaking, according to Bloomberg.

“While a traditional movie has a 100-page script, a two-hour experience needs to have a longer script and production to account for all the different scenarios.”

“Writers and producers are still determining how the extra demands affect their pay, among other matters,” Bloomberg added.

Netflix still did not comment or disclose any more details on this report.
